Our carpet kits are made in house from only the finest German Sliverknit, German Velour, and Domestic materials.  All carpet sets are made to order. Please allow 4- 5 weeks for delivery.

Sliverknit is thicker than German Velour.  German Velour has a shorter pile but  a denser weave. It is the OEM carpet used by Mercedes.
Sliverknit has very thin backing and is very pliable. German Velour has a thicker nylon backing and is not as pliable.
If you hold Sliverknit up to the light, you can see through it. No light shows through German Velour.
They are both soft to the touch. The German velour has a more plush feel due to the tighter weave. Sliverknit is softer.
A weight experiment with a piece of carpet the same size showed German velour weighed 1/3 more than the Sliverknit.
Both look and feel very luxurious.

Porsche 928 Floor Insulation Padding Set. Front or Rear Deck

This is set of floor insulating pads for all Porsche 928s. They are trimmed to fit and go under the factory carpet in the front driver and passenger floor and rear cargo deck. They are made of 1/2 thick vinyl nitrile closed cell foam rubber. Unlike the factory foam this vinyl nitrile is closed cell and will not absorb water, oil, or antifreeze. This means, unlike the factory supplied pads, they can be washed with soap and water, wiped dry and immediately put back in place. The material is also resistant to mildew so it won't smell like the factory pads. Black in color, 1/2 inch thick, is very light about 9 ounces per pad, closed cell, and FAA approved for aircraft bulkhead sound and heat insualtion.

Porsche 928 Rear Cargo Area Sliverknit Carpet Section Only

Porsche 928 Rear Cargo Area Sliverknit Carpet Section Only. It is made to the factory pattern, is notched for the rear support bracket, and has the velcro sewn in place like the factory carpet. The notches for the corner mounting studs have not been cut yet since some owners may prefer a different type of hold down or use this piece as a mat. The backing is a thick grey lightweight nylon. Unlike the factory and other after market cargo carpet pieces that are trimmed in vinyl, this 928 cargo carpet is serge bound in matching color nylon thread. You won't find another like it. Black with black serge binding is in stock. All other colors are custom made and will take 2-3 weeks to ship.
